  • Durango and Burlington offline

The usually intermittent Durango repeater is now offline and we have had a PA failure at the Burlington site.  Repair season is coming soon!

  • Grand Junction maybe down

We’ve had two reports of issues with the Grand Junction machine in the past few days, so it may be having issues.

  • Thorodin Power Failure!

Our main site, Thorodin just had a power failure.  We have backup batteries, but they have a limited backup time.  If power is gone for too long we will proactively shut down equipment to protect it.  Since Thorodin is the controller hub for the entire system, if it goes down, all the repeaters will go into stand-alone mode.  We will keep you appraised.

  • Joshua Glancey (KK6LJS) privileges revoked

Joshua Glancey (KK6LJS) is no longer allowed to use the Colorado Connection.  Users are requested not to communicate with him if he uses the network. Details are in this statement.

  • Amazon stopped smiling.

With regret, Amazon is discontinuing this program.  It was great while it lasted and thanks to the folk that signed us up for their charity.  We got about $800 in donations for the run of the program.

  • Colcon 3.0 Drive update

Amazing! Many folk stepped up and donated toward this drive and in less than a month met the $5,000 goal for the matching funds.  The repeaters are starting to come in and now we can start getting them ready for this summer.  THANK YOU ALL!!

  • Leadville temporarily offline

Even good and new solar panels and batteries have their limits!  We’ve had 7 days of no sunshine at that site and need to disable the repeater to protect the batteries until we get a few days of sunshine to recharge them.  We’re monitoring battery status and will re-enable the repeater as soon as we can.

  • ColCon 3.0 Drive!

We “got an offer we couldn’t refuse”!  See the Upgrade Project tab above for details.

  • Akron site likely down

This site appears to be down.  It may be a PA issue only.
