Our newest repeater! It came online just before Christmas 2019. It is located on Buckhorn Mountain. Coverage is expected to be good north, south, and east, but not to the west into the mountains. We are actively soliciting signal reports–especially on the Thursday night net to get actual signal reports.
With first reports, we are seeing some receive interference from other high power radio equipment on the tower, but have some plans on how to mitigate that noise that will be implemented in the near future.
This site is a Mastr III repeater running 100W into a two bay Sinclair antenna at about 40′. It’s on an old AT&T Long Lines tower at Buckhorn Mountain. It’s directly interconnected to the network using the Rocky Mountain Ham Radio microwave network with a mere 3.5ms to the Thorodin hub.
