The Fort Col­lins re­peat­er ap­pears to be hav­ing re­ceive sen­sitiv­ity is­sues again. This is a know issue, but seems to have be­come worse re­cent­ly. The long term fix is a second re­mote received-only site which is on our to do list.

We have our newest re­peat­er site, Bur­lington, CO. This ex­tends our I-70 co­verage to al­most the Kan­sas state line! It uses the same frequen­cy as Col­orado Spr­ings (145.130MHz), but is far en­ough away from that re­peat­er to not cause any in­ter­fer­ence.

We have a third ISP up and runn­ing for the Duran­go site, so hop­ing this one is a charm after hav­ing is­sues with the first two. For these ISP-based sites, only time will tell if they are truly re­li­able or not, so please let us know!

The Salida site is down. We have been able to re­mote­ly di­ag­nose the issue and it is a failed PA, so will re­quire a site visit to fix.

The in­frequent con­nec­tiv­ity is­sues with the Duran­go re­peat­er are gett­ing more frequent.

Power at the Al­mag­re site is back!

Also pro­bab­ly storm re­lated, the micro­wave link to these re­peat­ers is down. We have an IP bac­kup so they should be work­ing, but the IP links are not quite as re­li­able as the micro­wave links.

The storm in­ter­rupted power at our Al­mag­re link site and we have ex­haus­ted bat­te­ry power at that site, so have lost their link into the rest of the sys­tem. Those sites will be of­fline until power to Al­mag­re is re­stored–hopeful­ly soon.

Doug (K2AD) was able to put togeth­er a re­pair trip and our re­mote di­ag­nostics hel­ped ac­curate­ly pre­dict the failure, so it was a one-trip re­pair! Col­orado Spr­ings is back on­line. Be­fore such de­cent di­ag­nostics, such re­pairs were often two trips, one to di­ag­nose, and a second to do the ac­tu­al re­pair.

We ap­pear to have a power amp failure on the Col­orado Spr­ings mac­hine. We have dis­con­nected it as with­out the PA it isn’t much good.

That site is still ac­cessib­le, so hop­ing for a re­pair run by early next week.
