Thanks to Mike K7AIH and Ben KC2VJW this mac­hine is back on­line! A local lan­down­er re­voked the only ac­cess to the site. The com­mer­ci­al folk had to use helicopt­ers, we had Ben and Mike that scouted and hiked an al­ter­nate route by foot. Helicopt­er ac­cess wasn’t af­ford­able, so thanks Mike and Ben.

We are stream­lin­ing our in­ter­fer­ence re­port­ing from manu­al em­ails to a form-based sys­tem so that we can bet­t­er create the database we need to build up our case with the FCC. We’ve also added a “Live” but­ton if you happ­en to be able to re­port in real time that will flag approp­riate folk who may be able to re­spond in real time. The link to the page to do this is “In­ter­fer­ence Re­port­ing” on the top menu bar.

We have one re­li­able re­port that the Vail trans­mitt­er may be down. The re­ceiv­er works fine. We are not sure if it is com­plete­ly down or just very low trans­mitt­er power. Any re­ports from that re­peat­er would be great­ly appreciated.

Re­model work is done and the re­peat­er is back!

The host site for this re­peat­er is gett­ing re­modeled, so the equip­ment is being dis­con­nected tem­porari­ly. Ex­pec­ta­tion is that the re­peat­er will be back on­line some time dur­ing this com­ing weekend.

The Lead­ville re­peat­er has been taken off line as a pre­ven­tative measure due to li­mited power from the solar panels. Sun­light has been scar­ce for sever­al days in a row, so bat­te­ries are low. We hope it will be back on­line in a few days after some more sunshine after this past storm.

It ap­pears the Salida site has been down for some months (Oc­tob­er is our best guess) and we didn’t rea­l­ize it. We had two re­ports come in this week con­firm­ing it is in­deed down. It ap­pears to be a PA issue as it can only be heard weak­ly with a very good an­ten­na. That is a site that is only prac­tical­ly ac­cessib­le dur­ing the summ­er, so will be down for a bit.

The solar power issue has been im­prov­ing en­ough to allow bring­ing the re­peat­er back on­line. We are monitor­ing bat­te­ry status re­gular­ly to make sure it stays OK. If power drops again for some rea­son we may have to take the re­peat­er of­fline again, but at least for now all is good.
